Live Your Best Life

These days most people struggle to make time for themselves due to work, family, friends and other worldly distractions that keep us from taking care of ourselves. We often daydream what life could be like without our worries, and it remains a fantasy. The good news is that our worries only exist in our minds, and we just need to focus on the present moment so that our dreams become reality. Believe me, this is possible. How? By breaking the mental habits that cause us to overthink everything. This change most likely won’t happen overnight but a good start is to follow these simple steps:

  1. Think about your life from a place of abundance, instead of lack. What are you grateful for?
  2. Think about your failures as experiences that you’ll learn from. Consider if everything in life happened smoothly, what would you have learned? How would you grow?
  3. Become the person you want to be. Who are you? What are your joys? What makes laugh and smile.
  4. Honor and accept your fears, your dislikes, your likes unapologetically.
  5. Take action on that nagging thought of “what if…” that you keep putting off. It won’t go away until you try it.
  6. Love who you are, what you’ve created and how you’re contributing to the world, even if it’s just by saying hi to a stranger.
  7. Allow yourself to just “be,” and know it’s better to give AND receive.

There are multitude of ways you can start living your best life, while you are taking care of your responsibilities. The trick is to take baby steps, don’t rush and judge yourself. Be patient and be kind to yourself. An know that it’s ok to have fun, at any and all ages. Channel your inner child.
